Philippine Airlines will now have four classes of service. Three of which are under economy class or Fiesta Class. Right now, Philippine Airlines operates their aircraft with a two-class layout. That is Mabuhay Class(Business Class) and Fiesta Class(Economy).

PAL will be introducing Premium Economy and Low-Cost Carrier Classes with its upcoming deliveries of Airbus A321-200 and Airbus A330-300 aircraft.

The Airbus A321 aircraft when delivered will have a total of 202 seats. That's 12 in Mabuhay Class, 36 in premium economy, and 104 in Fiesta Class. The remaining 50 seats will be called "low-cost carrier class" according to PAL CEO Ramon S. Ang.

The "low-cost carrier class" is similar to PAL's previous Econolight class which was introduced in 2008 on select destinations. The layout in Econolight class was the same as Fiesta Class but was located on the last few rows of the aircraft with a sticker on the seat indicating that it was the Econolight section.

According to airlineroute.net, some of PAL's new orders of the Airbus A330 series aircraft will have an all-economy class layout. These aircraft will be deployed to Saudi Arabia once they come into service by December 2013. With this layout, there will be a total of 414 seats in a 3-3-3 configuration. This is just 22 seats less than rival Cebu Pacific Air's newly delivered Airbus A330-343X's all-economy layout with 436 seats.
