Just a few days after announcing that it would cancel its flights from Manila to Toronto with the last flight on September 18, 2013, Philippine Airlines has once again opened reservations for Manila to Toronto flights after September 18.

Philippine Airlines launched the route with direct (non-stop) last November 30, 2012 using a Boeing 777-300ER. Because of losses on the route, the airline stopped all direct flights and added one stop at the Vancouver International Airport.

PAL recently announced that it would end it 3x weekly service to Toronto due to the lifting of the ban on the airline in European air space. The aircraft used are supposedly to fly to future European destinations.

Despite the announcement, Philippine Airlines has announced that reservations are once again open for flights to Toronto after September 18, 2013.

There are also unconfirmed rumors of the downgrade of the service from a Boeing 777-300ER to an Airbus A340-313X.
